The original Diablo Rogue was a starting place
Rogue is a dexterity-based martial art that is able to use bows and crossbows for ranged strikes, as well as swords and daggers for melee attacks. The class relies on mobility and striking quickly, however, it also comes with a range of skills and abilities that you are able to combine and mix for maximum effect. From what we've seen, Rogues have skills like dashing abilities that can flurry slash, as well as an air attack which spits with arrows to cause AOE D2R Items. According to Blizzard during their presentation the fans of Diablo's Asssassin and Diablo's Demon Hunter will find a lot to appreciate about Diablo IV's Rogue.
Rogues can be classified into three different specializations. One of these is Combo Points, which seem to be based on a sequence of timing-based attacks that accumulate damage--director Luis Barriga likened it to an eerily rhythm-based game. The second is called Shadow Realm, which puts players into a temporary state of stealth in order to make sure you do not get hurt as you are in fighting. Lastly, Exploit Weakness is one of the reaction-based specializations where an icon will appear on the opponent and you must be able to predict the counter to cause additional damage. Players don't have to pick one specialization and can combine abilities to create their own unique playstyles and build.
In a conversation with the game's director Luis Barriga, he stated that the original Diablo Rogue was a starting place to expand the character class in Diablo IV.
"So the idea is that the Rogue is godmotherly, I would guess, in the case of all Dexterity -based classes for RPGs." He said. "What I am referring to is that you could add the above elements to the class that we enjoyed from The Assassin or The Demon Hunter. This is the time to do it with Diablo IV, of course we'd like to go beyond the D1 class.
We're saying The Sisterhood of the Sightless Eye, is one of the groups you'll find remains of them because that's an order that was destroyed , and then disappeared to time for a bit in the future, and maybe, players will learn what they've actually been doing. It's not the only one. There are many different cutthroats you can find in the world , and you can learn techniques from all of them. Thus, we've managed to make the class a very root fantasy as a start point and after that, we've added all the ideas we've wanted to buy D2R Ladder Items incorporate in a Dexterity focused class."
